One of the best phones for modding: the sensor is slightly larger than 2/3-inch, so there are many lenses that cover the whole sensor with minimal vignette and distortion.
A Sony E mount added via a macro tube gives a stable metal mount able to accommodate a wide array of lenses, while still retaining use of the wide and tele cameras. The build started with 90s Canon Hi8 zoom lenses, moved to C-mount lenses, and finally to APS-C lenses with a 0.7x Viltrox focal reducer.
Cons: the screen isn't very bright, and it's still an old unit, so you might get dropped frames with MotionCam.
